DARLINGTON, Md. - Bonita Jo Smallwood, 61, passed away Nov. 11, 2012, at her home. Born in Bangor, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth Lanear and Eva Mae Royal Hunt.

She worked as a coffee hostess at Wawa, where if she took a day off her customers always asked for her. She was very straight forward and had a big heart and was a "grandmother" to her "grandnephew," Braden N. Hunt Jr. She loved to cook and made the best Jello cake and cowboy beans.
Mrs. Smallwood is survived by her husband, Bruce Smallwood of Darlington, Md.; brothers, Phillip Hunt of Carmel and John Hunt of Old Town; nephew, Braden N. Hunt Sr.; and other numerous nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Lyle and Kenneth Hunt; and sisters, Judith Grinnell and Gloria Jean Nash.
Visitation was held 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, at McComas Funeral Home, P.A., Abingdon, Md., where services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 15.
