NORWAY - Barbara E. Roy, 83, of South Paris died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at Stephens Memorial Hospital. She was born April 25, 1929, in South Paris, the daughter of Charles Henry and Pauline Estella Hammond.

She graduated from Paris High School and married A. Franklin Roy. She had been employed as head cook at Buckfield Sr./Jr. High School for 22 years.

She is survived by her children, Donna Perry and Dick of Levant, Peter Roy and Allison of Sherman, Jackie Tayes and Wayne of South Berwick, Virginia Chamberlain and Ralph of South Paris, Fredrick Roy and Darlene of Turner, and Judy Roy and Carlo of Hebron; 17 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, two sisters, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband; and a brother-in-law, Edward Packard.

A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at Chandler Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, 45 Main St., South Paris. Online condolences may be shared with her family at
