DOVER-FOXCROFT and ST. ALBANS - Arthur Albion Kimball, 65, passed away peacefully Jan. 28, 2013, surrounded by family at a Bangor hospital. He was born April 17, 1947, in Dover-Foxcroft, son of the late Mary (Dinsmore) Kimball and Albion Percy Kimball.

Arthur was a cherished and respected member of Dover-Foxcroft and Atkinson United Methodist churches, where he was a lay leader and played piano for many services throughout the years. He also played bass clarinet in the Dover-Foxcroft Community Concert Band. He was a Mason and a member of Amaranth Chapter of Order of the Eastern Star. In his spare time he was an avid gardener, classic car enthusiast and spent a great deal of time visiting with community members in hospitals and nursing facilities. He graduated from Foxcroft Academy, class of 1965, where he was a member of DeMolay, and played clarinet and bass clarinet in the band. He graduated from University of Maine, Orono, with a bachelor's degree in zoology and a master's degree in entomology. He worked for Guilford Industries/Interface for 25 years.

Arthur is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Roberts of St. Albans; two daughters, Amy Tambone and husband, Adam, of South Portland, and Erin Kimball of Park City, Utah; two grandchildren, Arianna Tambone and Joseph "Buddy" Boisselle; and Buddy's family, Jen Jalbert and daughter, Angel. Arthur's family and community will miss him dearly.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial service 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at Dover-Foxcroft United Methodist Church with the Rev. Margaret Dodie Sheffield, presiding. A luncheon will be after the service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Arthur's memory may be made to Dover-Foxcroft United Methodist Church, 156 East Main St., Dover-Foxcroft, ME 04426.
