BANGOR - Amy Lea-Aynne (Appleby) Hamm, 41, died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at Stillwater Health Care. She was born Nov. 2, 1971, the daughter of Lawrence A. and Erlene F. (Perkins) Appleby.

As a child she was involved in Brownies and Girl Scouts, which led her to being a Girl Scout troop leader as an adult. Amy graduated from Bucksport High School in 1991 and received her certified nurse assisting certificate from Hancock County Technical Center. Amy loved children, enjoyed doing crafts, crocheting, photography and playing bingo. She enjoyed all holidays and decorating for them. She had a passion for pigs, both the real animals and collecting pigs.

Amy is survived by her mother and father of Bucksport; one daughter, Tamra N. Terry and fiancé, Vincent Brawn, of Glenburn; one sister, Danielle Millett and husband, Mark, of Bucksport; two brothers, David Appleby and wife, Christy, of Bucksport and Alan Holyoke and girlfriend, Mary Foster, of Hollis Center; one great-aunt, Vivian Cummings; her godmother, Dotty Atwood; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her maternal and paternal grandparents, several aunts and uncles.

A graveside service will be held in the spring. Donations in Amy's memory may be made to Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, P.O. Box A, Bucksport, ME 04416, to help with final expenses. Arrangements are under the direction of Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home.
