LUBEC - Albert Julian Scoville, 87, passed away Aug. 31, 2012, at a Bangor hospital. He was born June 12, 1925, in Lubec, son of the late Virgil and Mary (Doran) Scoville.

He was a proud decorated World War II veteran, having fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a life member of Veteran of Foreign Wars, previously of Parkinson-Vose, Lubec, then merging to now Post No. 11553, Harrington. He was also a member of Stuart-Green Post No. 65 American Legion, Lubec, where he enjoyed spending much of his time. He also liked to hunt and fish, and greatly enjoyed his gathering of family and friends at his camp on the back road.

He is survived by and will be greatly missed by his three stepchildren, Deborah Walsh and husband, Ken Bianco, Douglas Denbow and wife, Mona, and Shirley Campbell; a brother, Bernie Scoville and wife, Ivy; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins; and numerous friends, to include very special friends, Gloria Calder and David McCurdy. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Rebecca (Pressley); a stepdaughter, Vicki Williams; and two brothers, Raymond and Clayton.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at Greenlawn Cemetery, Lubec, with a celebration of his life afterward at the Lubec American Legion. Friends may share memories and condolences by visiting Albert's Book of Memories at www.mcclurefamilyfuneral.com.
