Theresa M. "Terry" Labbe

FORT KENT - Theresa M. "Terry" Labbe, 85, wife of Herbert J. Labbe, passed away Sunday afternoon, Dec. 8, 2013, at a Caribou nursing facility, following an extended illness. She was born Feb. 27, 1928, in Wallagrass, the daughter of Roy and Mamie (Duprey) White.

She was a graduate of the Fort Kent High School and was a communicant of St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent for many years. She was married to Herbert J. Labbe on Feb. 18, 1947.

In addition to her parents, Terry was predeceased by one brother, Elmer White. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Herbert J. Labbe of Van Buren; one son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Alice Labbe of North Tonawanda, N.Y.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Brent Bernier of Caribou, Judy and Lloyd Leavitt of Limestone, and Hilda and Dana Beaulieu of Soldier Pond; three sisters, Paula Daigle, and Diane Guy and her husband, Jim, all of Virginia, and Rita Perreault of Wallagrass; ten grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may call noon - 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main St., Fort Fairfield, where a memorial service will be conducted 1 p.m. with Father Raymond Morency officiating. Spring interment will take place at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery, Limestone. A time of continued fellowship with refreshments will be held after the service at the VFW Paul Lockhart Post No. 6187, Presque Isle Street, Fort Fairfield.
