PRESQUE ISLE - Rena L. LaFrancis, 94, went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at The Aroostook Medical Center, Presque Isle. She was born April 15, 1918, in Presque Isle, daughter of Judson and Lula Mae (McEntee) Cray.
Rena was employed by Potato Service, Presque Isle, for more than 20 years. She loved her home, gardening, and most of all her family.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Clifford LaFrancis of Presque Isle; four daughters, Bonnie Goodwin of Castle Hill, Irene Owens, Elaine Akerson, both of Caribou and Theresa Woodworth of Presque Isle, sons, Reggie Moran of Muncie, Ind., and Fred LaFrancis of Castle Hill; 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mildred Liakakes, Esther Myford and Elaine Stewart; one brother, Gerald Cray of Presque Isle; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Dickie "Jake" Moran Jr.; sister, Myrtle L. Hartley; two grandsons, Kenneth and William Goodwin; and great-great-grandson, Jonah Hart.
A celebration of her life will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, at First United Pentecostal Church, Wilson Street, Presque Isle, with the Rev. Anthony Scott officiating.
