MEDWAY - While surrounded by his family, Raymond E. Faloon Jr. went home to be with his heavenly father Nov. 15, 2012, after a brief stay at Millinocket Regional Hospital. He was born Aug. 7, 1928, in Pattagumpus, to Raymond E. Faloon and Nettie (Cram) Faloon.
Ramie was a lifelong woodsman. He left school at age 14 to cut pulpwood for his father and stayed in woodswork for 50 years. When he was not cutting wood he was in the woods fishing. Ramie was also a man of faith who led a Christ-centered life and held a deep understanding of the fathomless grace of God. Raymond married Orissie C. Powers in 1947, and together they raised six children while tending the farm and lands on Powersville Road, Medway, where they settled in 1950.
He was predeceased by his parents; and brother, George Faloon and wife, Shirley. He is survived by his wife, Orissie; daughter, Roxanne Pasanen and husband, Ray, of Medway; son, John and companion, Sheila Tozier, of Howland; daughter, Beverly McGreevy of Millinocket; daughter, Marlene Rudge and husband, Gerald, of Medway; son, Michael and wife, Kim, of Medway; and son, Peter and wife, Barbara, of Medway. Grampie Faloon also left behind 17 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, who loved him dearly and will miss him greatly.
By his request, there will be no services. The family will hold an open house for anyone wishing to visit and remember Ramie 2-6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, at 123 Powersville Road, Medway.
