Marguerite M. Wright

MARS HILL and BRISTOL, Conn. - Marguerite McCrum Wright, 94, died Jan. 16, 2013, at a Bristol, Conn., health care facility. She was born June 5, 1918, in Blaine, the daughter of Walter and Mae (VanTasell) Bell.

Marguerite lived in Mars Hill most of her life. She was a member of Mars Hill Baptist Church and Mars Hill Community Club, where she held positions in all offices. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star for 60 years. She worked as a teacher's aide for many years at Fort Street Elementary School and loved helping the children. Marguerite was a member of First Baptist Church, Hanson, Mass., where she lived with her second husband. She was a member of Hanson Senior Walkers. She attended Gorham Congregational Church. She loved gardening, bird-watching, sports - especially those that involved family members, baking and volunteering at Country Store for family in Hanson, Mass. Her greatest joy was her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Marguerite is survived by two sons, Martin McCrum and wife, Julie, of Aiken, S.C., and their sons, Greg McCrum and family of Dupont, Wash., and Jeff McCrum and family of Belville, N.J., and Daniel McCrum and wife, Deborah, of Gorham, N.H., and their daughters, Sarah Ono and family of Oita, Japan, and Ellen McCrum and family of Brooklyn, N.Y.; stepson, Paul M. Wright and wife, Judi, of Boston, Mass.; two daughters, Molly Lawrence and husband, Rodney, of Morristown, N.J., and their children, Andrew Lawrence and family of Mechanicsville, Va., and Meghan Lawrence of Greensboro, N.C., and Ann Cinotti and husband, Alex, and their sons, Marcus and Ethan Cinotti, all of Bristol, Conn.; stepdaughters, Jane Marinelli of Malden, Mass., Carol Harrington of Coral Beach, Fla., and Brenda Myette of Hanson, Mass.; six stepgrandchildren, several great-grandchildren; sister, Gladys Henderson of Houlton; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husbands, Don L. McCrum Jr. and Wesley W. Wright. A special thank you to the staff of Countryside Manor, where Marguerite was loved and cared for in the last years of her life.
