Lorraine Littlefield Wyman

ORONO and KENNEBUNK - Lorraine Littlefield Wyman, 85, passed triumphantly through heaven's gate Feb. 21, 2013. She was born Oct. 19, 1927, in Eastport.

A loving and devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Lorraine possessed a unique passion and energy for life, always offered a helping hand and was the consummate homemaker. Lorraine was a 1949 graduate of the University of Maine earning a Bachelor of Science degree in education and taught for many years in both the Greenfield, Mass., and Orono school systems. A woman of varied skills and interests Lorraine was an excellent cook and enjoyed all forms of outdoor activities with her beloved husband of 58 years, O. Lewis Wyman II. Her favorites were gardening, boating, snowshoeing, canoeing and hiking. Lorraine had an unwavering faith in God and, along with her husband Lewis, was a charter member of Church of Universal Fellowship, Orono.

She was predeceased by her husband, Lewis. Lorraine will be deeply missed and is survived by her children; daughter, Julie A. Marquis and her husband, Alfred, of Kennebunk; son, O. Lewis Wyman III of Boone, N.C.; and son, Lt. Col. Peter Wyman U.S. Air Force, retired, and Jane Cole of Merrimack, N.H. Reverently and lovingly called "Neena," Lorraine will also be deeply missed by her six grandchildren, Abigail Marquis Shelger of Houston, Maggie Lorraine Marquis of Hoboken, N.J., Morgan Lewis Marquis of Bernardsville, N.J., Matthew Christopher Marquis of Fort Myers, Fla., Kevin Lewis Wyman of Merrimack, N.H., and Emily Elaine Wyman of Merrimack, N.H.

There will be a private graveside service in the spring at Riverside Cemetery, Orono.
