Gorman Richard "Whittie" Saucier

WALLAGRASS - Gorman "Whittie" Richard Saucier, 78, died Dec. 28, 2012, at a Bangor health care facility. He was born April 19, 1934, in Wallagrass, son of Honore and Anna (Caron) Saucier.

He leaves his wife of 53 years, Frances "Mickey" Brooker Saucier of Wallagrass; and their children, Rodrick "Rick" Saucier and wife, Vickie, and children, Brooke and Shana, of Wallagrass; Rodney Saucier and wife, Tonnie, and children, Ashlee and Rodney Jr., of Florida; Lori-Ann Saucier Levesque and husband, Todd, and children, Shawn, Alecia, Brittany, Spencer, Carrie, Carrigan and Adrianna, of Wallagrass; and Dawn Saucier Ouellette and husband, Scott, and children, Kiara and Gibson, of Eagle Lake. He had great-grandchildren, Dawson, Chandler, Payton and Emmett; and was a very loving "foster" Pepere of many. He had several godchildren, one being close to his heart, Wanda Howie. He is survived by his siblings, Carmen Dubay of Connecticut, Rosa Bouchard, Joanne Farmer and Leo Saucier of Millinocket, Norman Saucier of Presque Isle and Alvie "Babe" Saucier of Frenchville; and sister-in-law, Madeline Saucier of Presque Isle. He will be missed greatly by all those who were close to his heart and to his new friends he made at County Dialysis. He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Harold Saucier, Aldrick Saucier and Adrian Saucier; and sisters, Lorraine Voisine, Theresa Hamm and Claudette Dube.

Calling hours are 6-8 p.m. Jan. 1 and 8-9:45 a.m. Jan. 2 at Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Donations may be made in honor of our local food pantry and soup kitchens. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
