Charles Francis "Frank" Milheron

BANGOR - Charles Francis "Frank" Milheron, 82, passed away Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013. Frank was born July 21, 1931, in Bangor.

After graduating high school in Howland, he served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He spent his entire working life as an auto mechanic in New York and Florida. He spent his retirement in Florida but moved back to his hometown of Bangor a few years before he died. He enjoyed warm weather, the great outdoors, fishing, and camping.

Frank was predeceased by his wife of 25 years, Mary DeVito Milheron; parents, Burns and Edna (Bishop) Milheron; brother, Burns; and sisters, Geri and Bonnie. He is survived by daughters, Crista and Bruce Spaulding, MaryJane Milheron, Sara and William Pontus, and Patti Milheron, all of Grand Rapids, Mich.; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and sister, Patricia Rauch.

Mass of the Christian burial will be offered 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, at SS Peter & Paul Church, 1440 Quarry Ave. NW, Grand Rapids, Mich. Burial will be at Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale, N.Y. For many years Frank was a member of and gave generously to the St. Vincent de Paul Society of New York.
