Cecelia M. Lynch

MILLINOCKET - Cecelia Marie Lynch, 87, passed away June 27, 2013, at a Lincoln health care facility. Cecelia was born April 16, 1926, in Millinocket, daughter of Thomas and Marie (LeGassey) Michaud.

Cecelia lived in Millinocket her entire life. She married the love of her life, James Francis Lynch, June 17, 1946, and together raised their children whom they loved dearly. She was a homemaker and an avid reader. She had numerous hobbies, which included rug-hooking, ceramics, counted cross stitch, knitting and crocheting. She loved to listen to music and play cribbage with her family. She had a heart of gold and was the stronghold of the family. She took what life gave her with the strength of 1000 people. She was a breast cancer and colon cancer survivor.

Cecelia is survived by daughter, Toni Mihalik and husband, Ron, of Brownville Junction; daughter, Anne Marie Halfpenny and husband, Kevin, of Brockville, Ontario; grandchild, Brigitte Ann Mihalik of Manchester; stepgrandchildren, David and Trina Mihalik and family of North Monmouth, Bonnie and Adam Savage and family of Chelsea and Thomas Mihalik and family of Gardiner, Kristina Halfpenny and family of Lyn, Ontario, and Michael Halfpenny and family of Peterborough, Ontario; several stepgreat-grandchildren and stepgreat-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, James, she was predeceased by her sons, James Francis Lynch Jr., and Thomas Maurice Lynch; and granddaughter, Heather Margaret Mingo.

Graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, July 1, at Millinocket Cemetery. Gifts in Cecelia's memory may be sent to Pediatric Cancer Care, care of EMHS Foundation, P.O.
