Bert E. Budge

LOWELL - Bert E. Budge, 70, husband of Joyce (McKenney) Budge, died unexpectedly March 23, 2013. He was born Sept. 30, 1942, in Mattawamkeag, the son of Fred and Edith (Crocker) Budge.

Bert served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1960 to 1964. He was very involved with the Word of God Fellowship, Burlington. He was also a life member of LaBelle-Perkins Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1605, Burlington, and life member of the Lincoln detachment, Marine Corps League.

Bert leaves behind many special friends and family. In addition to his wife, Joyce, of Lowell, he is survived by six children, Bert Jr. and Sandy of Falcon, Colo., Brent and Connie of Bradley, Robert and Lori of Eddington, Frederick of Lee, April McKenney of Lowell and Malcolm and Julie of Franconia, N.H.; two sisters, Florence Landry of Orrington and Edith Yates of Hudson, Mass.; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Fred Budge; and a son, Jack Edwin Budge.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, March 28, at the Burlington VFW Hall with the Rev. Keith Shorey officiating.
