Arlene Rae (Savage) Deschene

LEE - Arlene Rae (Savage) Deschene, 70, wife of Burton Deschene, passed away Feb. 4, 2013, surrounded by her loving family at home. She was born Nov. 29, 1942, in Lincoln, daughter of Dennis and Frances (Jordan) Savage.

Arlene enjoyed engaging in hunting and fishing activities, as well as camping. She also enjoyed doing crafts, playing bingo, playing card games and board games with friends and family, and having get-togethers with her family and friends. She loved being surrounded by her large, loving family and friends.

Arlene is survived by her husband, Burton Deschene of Lee; six children, Dennis and Karen Michaud of Auburn, Donna Michaud and Ron Birtz of Springfield, Louanne and Mike LaFountain of Mattawamkeag, Laura and Leo Mushero of West Enfield, Andy and Joyce Michaud of Webster, and George and Stephanie Michaud of West Enfield; stepchildren, Mark Deschene of Millinocket and Jamie Deschene of Southern Maine; 25 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren; eight siblings, Judy St. Germain of Howland, Darrell Savage and Brenda Hobbs, Charlie Savage and Sue Weston, all of West Enfield, Beverly and Chuck Gerrish of Lincoln, Denise and John Richards of Mattawamkeag, Mary McDaniels of Palm Coast, Fla., Peggy Savage and Bruce Watters of West Enfield, and Timmy and Tonya Savage of Chester; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Camile and Nancy Deschene of East Millinocket, Claudette and Dennis Green of Brownville, Velma and Bill Appleby of Millinocket, Verna and Jimmy Ferland of Augusta, Donald Deschene of East Millinocket, and Linda and Rick Ambrose of Bangor; many nieces, nephews and close friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Danforth Michaud Jr.; grandson, Andrew Michaud Jr.; father of her children, Danforth Michaud Sr.; stepgrandson, Aaron Laws; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Claude and Winnie Deschene.
