The vivacious Gale Storm won hearts in the 1940s and '50s with her pretty smile and her multifaceted talent.

The singer and actress made a splash acting on small screen and big, and she had a successful recording career, too. Today would have been her 90th birthday, and we celebrate with a look at a few of her hits.

In the movies: Storm stars in Swing Parade of 1946 along with the Three Stooges.



On TV: My Little Margie starred Storm as a young woman prone to madcap adventures.



On the radio: Storm delighted fans with her covers of recent hits – often considered better than the originals.
