JONESPORT - Robert E. Ouellette, our father and grandfather affectionately called "Bob", passed away on June 23rd, 2014. Bob was born in Old Town, Maine, April 7, 1932 to Delvenia and Edward Ouellette.

Bob joined the Coast Guard in 1952, serving our country for 22 years. After retirement, he owned and operated Ouellette Construction and was a seasonal blueberry farmer. He is best known for his sense of humor and strong determination. Bob married Marion Smith on June 15, 1952 and together they raised five daughters.
He is predeceased by his oldest daughter, Vickie Lee Ouellette Scherr and sister, Rose Marie Pearson. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marion (Smith) Ouellette; four daughters, Cathy Crowley and husband, Steve of Jonesport, Terry Rubenstein and husband, Terry of Arizona, Debra Carver and husband, Mark of Beals, and Karen Look and husband, David of Jonesport; loving like a son, Joseph Scherr and wife, Kathy of New Hampshire; brother, Billy Ouellette of Arizona; sister, Eva Rogers and husband, Eugene and family of New Hampshire; grandchildren and spouses, Toby and Beth Crowley of Hawaii, Ryan and Danica Crowley of Washington DC, Stacy and Avis Jajou of Arizona, Tabitha and Dale Peterson of Wisconsin, Douglas and Monica Scherr of California, and Robbi Lee Carver and boyfriend, Chris Chapoins of Beals; great-grandchildren, Tyler Crowley, Dakota Jajou and Sasha and Shiloh Peterson.
A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, June 29 at the Bayview Cemetery, Jonesport. Arrangements provided by Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Homes, Machias.
