BELFAST - Ronald T. Bunker, 74, went home to be with the Lord May 3, 2012, surrounded by his family. He was born March 31, 1938, in Beals Island, the son of Delbert N. and Prudence (Seavey) Bunker. Ronald was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard. He was a bus driver for SAD 34 for many years, as well as did custodial work at Nickerson School, Swanville. One of his greatest enjoyments was his TV shows, which included Bonanza, Law and Order, Gunsmoke and MASH to name a few. He had the remote with him at all times. Ronald enjoyed getting his black coffee with a little ice from McDonalds, black licorice and picking and eating crabmeat. He also enjoyed people watching and his dogs and was known as an animal lover. Ronald was on the citizens band for many years and his handle was The Agitator. He also enjoyed his car collection and was proud to show it off to his guests at his home. He was predeceased by his parents; a sister, Hazel Faulkingham; brother-in-law, Ronald "Pop" Faulkingham; and two sons, Kevin Lee Bunker and Allan Ronald Bunker. Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Alberna (Beal) Bunker; his beloved children, Delbert Bunker and wife, Mary, Wyman Bunker and wife, Audrine, Michael Bunker and wife, Theresa, and Karen Hewey and husband, David, all of Swanville; one brother, Marriner Bunker and wife, Donna of Beals Island; his grandchildren, Allan, Adam, William, Miranda, Lee and Micaela; great-grandchildren, Katrina, Brianna and Allie; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and special dog, Bubba. Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family. Those who wish may make donations in his memory to Alberna Bunker, 37 Achorn Road, Belfast, ME 04915.
